Netgear WG311T 108Mbps wireless card
It is/was mildly annoying when using the workstation but does not really interup work. It is infuriating when working from the laptop though because it causes all connections to the Ordered new Netgear WG311T WLAN card (which supports WPA-PSK in native GUI). Tried disabling ZAv5 when connection dropped - no effect.

Netgear WG311T wlan card with Atheros chipset doesnt work
The gkrellm plugin only works for a few devices at this time and ath is not one of them. It works for my old Prism 2.5 card, but not my new Atheros. :-{ Maybe an interface to the 802.11 layer would make this plugin work for all modern wireless cards. I really prefer gkrellm to the standard Gnome monitoring tools.

I also have a WAG511, which also works with the ath driver. The WG511 and WG311 a non-Atheros chipset and so you'd have to try project evil. FreeBSD manual page states that the 511T uses the AR5212 chipset and doesn't mention the AR5002G by name at all. Addionally the atheros web site doesn't mention a WG311 card

The problem with Suse I find is that it is a little slow and so bloated, and since Opensuse 10 came out, my wireless card (a Netgear WG311T with an Atheros chipset) is no longer detected. And no matter what I try with ndiswrapper or madwifi it will not work. So, I am still with Suse 9.3.
